It’s the holidays! To celebrate, Alex Nevsky and Jérémy Demay are getting together with Generation Centraide to release the single VIVANT, a song of hope for Greater Montreal that celebrates life. The song is also an easy way for you to make a difference in your community and help people whose only dream is to live their lives as best they can.
How can you help?
Our main partner, RBC Royal Bank will generously give $2 to Generation Centraide for every share of the “Vivant” video on Facebook. One click means $2 to fight social inequality. Pretty good deal, right? So share it now!
Directed by the talented Didier Charette, the video for Vivant shows 9 Montrealers whose lives are hard yet hopeful. Bernard, Nasim, Mélanie, Simon, Sylvain, Claudine, Michelle, Jean-Marc, Jair and Fernando have all received a helping hand from a community agency in Centraide’s network. Their stories could be told by any one of the over 500,000 Montrealers helped by our agencies each year.
Through these stories, Alex and Jérémy wanted to shed light on the little-known fact that 1.3 million people in Quebec are vulnerable and live in difficult conditions. In Montreal, over 1 out of 5 people experience poverty for all sorts of reasons. No matter what causes it, poverty has a major impact on people’s lives.
To do your part to help reduce social inequality, become a member of Generation Centraide and give your #toonieamonth throughout the year. $2 a month may not seem like much, but for
someone in need, a toonie is sometimes all it takes!
